Case Study
MSF app and web
Deepblue was commissioned by MSF for a rebrand and production of a new website and mobile app for iOS and Android
Overview
MSF approached us to provide a redesign of the group’s branding and website – as well as the development of an app for iOS and Android.
The project involved re-envisaging the group’s logo, keeping close familiarity with the previous version. Vs1.0 of the app provided positive interaction with the group’s client base by way of regular notifications.
The Vs1.0 app sent users regular notifications when documents were added to the library – removing the need to visit the website and essentially nullifying the need for their previous mailing list.
We took a ground-up approach to the redevelopment – starting with the logo.
Scope of work
Deepbluemedia was responsible for the logo and website redesign as well as the production of a new app on both iOS and Android operating systems.
Our remit included: app design and dev / logo redesign / a Fully Responsive marketing website / SEO and ASO / video promo production.

Responsive website
Deepblue produced a fully responsive CMS website that would dynamically scale for use across all devices – mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop. We also built the CMS to dually feed the notifications system direct to the app when new safety alerts are published, saving on content duplication.
Note – this site has since been redesigned.
Icon / logo redesign
We were requested to retain key elements of the logo to maintain a similar look and feel so we opted to update the background colours, font and restyled the background while incorporating the familiar ‘waves’ design.
With the text removed, this new design was also used for the new app launch icon.

Promo video
The revised method of distributing important safety notifications was at the heart of the group’s app so we decided to produce a promo video to let their users know what to expect. This video was subsequently used on the firm’s social media accounts as well as at conferences.
App launch video
Deepblue produced a Full HD launch video to promote the new site, app and resigned logo. The video was used across all the usual social media channels – Facebook, YouTube and Twitter – to help build the group’s brand exposure and overall marketing presence.
