Case Study
ReUnionRide branding
Deepblue produced the ReUnionRide logo, website and videos to publicise a gathering event planned for older skiers and snowboarders in the Bulgarian ski resort of Bansko towards the tail end of season 2023.
Overview
ReUnionRide was a ski and snowboard gathering planned to be held for older skiers and snowboarders looking to reunite with old friends – and make new ones – in Bulgaria’s Bansko ski resort.
In order to build enthusiasm in the event, we knew we had to get the word out quickly to attract attention and persuade potential riders to attend. Consequently, we designed a striking logo to reflect the idea of looking back while also uniting by using the two ‘R’s back-t-back. We also constructed a CMS website with voting system as well as two high-impact videos that proved an extremely effective advertising vehicle on social media.
ReUnionRide was yet another of Deepblue’s internally-produced projects, with the company handling everything from the design and web development requirements through to liaising with suppliers and sponsors.
Scope of work
Deepbluemedia handled all aspects of the ReUnionRide build and marketing – from logo design through to graphics, photography, CMS web development and the video promotions.

Responsive website
As ReUnionRide was borne from an idea of collectivism, Deepblue produced a Fully Responsive, single-page promotional website featuring a voting system to let users decide where the event should be held (in the early stages, we offered three different possible locations).
The ReUnionRide site worked across all devices – mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop while the voting system proved a great success in promoting the idea of inclusivity that lay so central to the event.
Icon / logo design
At the heart of the ReUnionRide concept was older skiers and snowboarders reuniting again to go riding. Consequently, it seemed only natural to incorporate the dominant ‘R’s, with one appearing to look back.
This simple – yet striking – logo proved highly effective for conveying the key aims of the event while still remaining visually appealing.

Promo videos
The key challenge behind ReUnionRide was spreading the word to generate enough interest to get sponsors, suppliers and Bansko ski resort onboard with the idea. Consequently, we fell back to our old favourite – video promos – which would subsequently be shared multiple times on social media, helping build interest in the event.
ReUnionRide 1.0
Deepblue produced this full-HD video as a teaser at the start of the promotional campaign for ReUnionRide to announce the event and make skiers and snowboarders aware of the upcoming gathering.
The edit was shared extensively on social media helping generate an increasing buzz and excitement for the trip.
ReUnionRide 2.0
To further increase interest in the ReUnionRide idea, we produced this secondary edit – this time featuring the resort of choice for the majority of riders – Bansko.
Again, we were overwhelmed with the success of this video across social channels as a way to further bolster the idea of the event a gather more sign-ups.
