Deepblue was hired by Agrovista for the design and development of new mobile app for iOS and Android
Overview
The Agrovista app was produced with a range of calculators to help clients accurately plan and order their crop protection products as well as provide users with news, notes, store and company contact details.
The app offered users a complex set of calculators designed to help work out their product requirements. These calculators vary from seed evaluators required for farm treatments to size, weight, distance and area formulae.
Users could set up personal stores that they populated with product lists, providing an invaluable reference of resources – as well as field plotters to track treatments. The app also featured a news feed and key contacts list with dial-direct functions.
Developed for both iOS and Android, the app became an invaluable hand-held resource for farmers. It reached 1100 users globally – in countries as widely spread as Austria, the US, Indonesia and New Zealand.
Scope of work
We interpreted a rough production brief supplied by the firm to design and develop the interface, coding and calculators for both iOS and Android operating systems. We were also responsible for designing the original spin-wheel navigation interface which allowed users to quickly select the functions they were looking to use in an easy-to-use navigational system.
