Ski Season Accommodation is a specialist web service offering French ski resort property owners the chance to unite with ski and snowboard saisonnaires looking to rent property for the winter season.
Overview
Ski Season Accommodation (SSA) is a web service offering highly sought-after, season-long accommodation for saisonnaires in ski resorts across France.
The SSA site features in-depth accommodation reviews including: Detailed property search by type, price, location / property details / floorplans / Googlemap location / Streetview / accommodation amenities / valuation of resort facilities / distance to key services / resort piste map / official resort video / resort review and stats / live chat system.
The site was produced to target primarily English-speaking saisonnaires looking to rent season-long accommodation in France however it also had a dual purpose to attract owners to advertise their property. As such, we catered for the French market with translated versions of the site and marketing videos.
Scope of work
Deepbluemedia was responsible for all aspects of the SSA website design, development, launch and promotion including origination of legal documents, population of the database and liaison with property owners, agencies and tenants. We produced all requirements internally, with our extensive design, development and promotion experience.
Our remit included: logo design / producing a Fully Responsive property website / performing SEO and ASO / video production / social media promotion.

Responsive website
Deepbluemedia produced a Fully Responsive website, powered by a comprehensive Content Management System (CMS) with extensive property database. The Ski Season Accommodation site dynamically resizes to devices – mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop.
The SSA site featured accommodation reviews as well as resort information and a live chat system for enquiries. As many property owners and saisonaires are French, we offered a French-translation site in tandem with the UK version.
Icon / logo design
We produced a simple logo design supplied in print-ready format for use across all media. We also designed the site Favicon and sized versions for Twitter and Facebook accounts. The logo embodied the ski and snowboard spirit while also resembling the rooves of ski resort accommodation.
Web marketing / SEO
These days, it’s no longer enough for firms to simply exist online. There are now more web pages in the world than there are people, making it increasingly difficult for companies to stand out online and attract users.
Evidence suggests approximately 78% of all consumer journeys start with an online search – mostly on Google which accounts for around 93% of all search traffic. We performed extensive Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) work on the SSA site to ensure it ranked in all searches – but, in particular, Google.

Promo video
Video is always a useful and engaging way to promote a new product or service and can be used to outline even very complex ideas in a succinct and immersive way. The SSA video helped promote the project on social channels as well as on the main company website.
SSA launch video
The full-length SSA video gives a comprehensive overview of the site’s unique service. We later produced short and medium-length variants, targeted at social media channels.
The video was used across Facebook, YouTube and Twitter as well as on the main website. Offered in both French and English versions, the video did a great job of outlining the key features of the service while also helping promote the SSA brand to a wider audience.
