The brief: Rigmar produced a highly innovative oil rig repair and refurbishment system that could be used both at sea and onshore. Deepblue was already working with the company producing their website but when they realised we also produce 3D video for the oil and gas industry, they approached us to produce this edit. The video was used across all the major social channels – YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – and in a disc-based presentation sent to clients that helped generate new business.

The challenge: Producing a real-world video at sea to explain the Rigmar system simply wasn’t an option, so we selected 3D video as the best media. With 3D, it’s possible to get other-worldly views of complex processes while giving a visual explanation that goes far beyond just text or photos.

The result: The 3D Aberdeen oil and gas 3D animation was used by Rigmar to explain to clients the benefits of their pioneering system. The video featured in client presentations and meetings as well as across social media to help promote the product and win new customers.
