The brief: The Rigmar oil rig repair and refurbishment system was way ahead of the curve and quite difficult to explain with just images or words. Consequently, the firm hired us to produce a range of 3D videos showing the product at work and the benefits it would bring clients. These videos were then used in a Deepblue-produced presentation, in client meetings and across the major social channels – YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – to generate new business.

The challenge: This type of animation and viewpoint would have been impossible to achieve with real-world video. As ever, 3D stepped up as the media of choice to showcase how the system worked in greater detail than would have ever been possible by another means. The key challenge in these videos was to show how flexible the repair system is – again, something that would not have been possible without 3D animations.

The result: The 3D Aberdeen oil and gas 3D video was used by Rigmar to educate clients about the benefits of their pioneering oil rig system. The company featured the video in a Deepblue-produced multimedia client presentation as well as at meetings and on social media to help promote their service, in turn massively increasing their customer base.
