The brief: Oil and gas specialists, Rigmar, produced a pioneering new oil rig refurbishment and repair system and wanted to inform their market and win new clients by showcasing their innovative subsea product. Consequently, the firm commissioned 3D Aberdeen (Deepblue’s specialist 3D division) to make an engaging 3D video outlining how the system works. The firm then used the video in client meetings and across the major social channels – YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – to generate new business.

The challenge: 3D is the media of choice for showcasing complex projects or services in the simplest way possible. Filming a real-world video wouldn’t have been able to capture the company’s system in anywhere near as much detail so we used 3DS Max to produce this informative edit.

The result: Rigmar used the 3D Aberdeen oil and gas 3D animation to show clients their system. The video was also used across social media to help promote the product and win new customers.
